Sustainable weight management is about more than a number on the scale. At Direct Wellness Primary Care, we take time to understand your health history, goals, lifestyle, medications, labs, and metabolic health so we can build a plan that makes sense for you.

A Primary Care Approach to Weight Management

More Than a Weight-Loss Program

Weight can be influenced by many factors, including nutrition, activity, sleep, stress, medications, hormones, and underlying health conditions. That is why weight management fits naturally within comprehensive primary care.

Rather than treating weight in isolation, we look at the bigger picture and work with you over time. When appropriate, your care plan may include lifestyle changes, laboratory evaluation, medication options, and ongoing follow-up.

Medication Can Be One Tool—Not the Whole Plan

Your Weight Is Connected to Your Overall Health

Because your primary care provider already considers the full picture of your health, weight management can be connected to the things that matter beyond the scale—such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, sleep, medications, hormone-related concerns, and long-term disease prevention.

That continuity also means your plan can evolve as your health, goals, and needs change.

Ongoing Follow-Up

Regular check-ins allow your provider to monitor progress and adjust your plan.

Whole-Person Care

Your plan is built around your broader health—not just your weight.

One Trusted Provider

Weight concerns can be addressed alongside your other primary care needs.

Personalized Guidance

What About Labs, Medications & Other Costs?

Your DWPC membership provides access to your primary care provider and ongoing medical guidance. Some laboratory testing, prescription medications, pharmacy charges, imaging, procedures, or outside services may involve additional costs.

When additional services are recommended, we will help you understand the next steps and available options whenever possible.

Who May Benefit From a Conversation?

Consider scheduling a conversation if you are looking for medically guided support with weight and want a plan that considers your overall health. A visit can help determine what evaluation or treatment options may be appropriate for you.

Weight-management care is individualized, and not every treatment option is appropriate for every patient.
